Things to know before you visit...
Strollers are not allowed in the PlayHouse - due to the limited space of our museum, they present a tripping hazard to children walking and running through the exhibits. We have a space to park them outside on the porch, and we have Baby Bjorns available for loan in the museum. We encourage you to consider leaving strollers and heavy bags in your car.
Food & beverages are not allowed in the museum. Bottled water is acceptable but open containers will not be allowed. Picnic tables are available on the porch to enjoy your snacks and meals.
Special rates are available for groups from schools and other educational and non-profit groups. All groups must reserve in advance. To book a visit, call the PlayHouse Education Manager at 309-323-6896.
The Peoria Playhouse is designed to include children of all abilities and facilitate learning through play in each child who visits the museum. If your child has special needs please see our accessibility/accommodations section.
