“I want to be around people that dream and support and do things.”
― Amy Poehler, producer and actress
The PlayHouse depends on the support and involvement of our friends and visitors to accomplish our mission. This support can take a variety of forms:
Membership supports the PlayHouse while allowing your family a year of access to the museum. Memberships also make wonderful gifts which continue giving all year long.
We envision a future in which children embrace their curiosity, find answers to compelling questions, and understand that learning and invention are both fun and necessary. We need your help to reach this goal.
Donations may also be mailed to: The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum, 2218 North Prospect Road, Peoria, IL 61603.
The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum is part of the Peoria Park District, which is an eligible IRS charitable organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
The PlayHouse welcomes in-kind donations of materials and services. Click the "Repurpose" button for our current wish list.
At the PlayHouse, volunteers help kids imagine and create as they explore our exhibits and engage in various workshops and programs. Apply today and make kids smile! Help us in our mission to provide children with the tools and inspiration they need to become explorers and creators of the world.
Adults (18 and over) are invited to volunteer on a regular basis. Volunteers can help in Real Tools, with Field Trips, and during Special Events and Programs. There are so many ways to play at the PlayHouse! To apply, please use this Volunteer Application Form.
High School students are invited to join the PlayHouse Teen Internship Program. Students are selected at the start of each semester, and must attend one orientation training upon acceptance into the program. For more information, call Courtney Baxter, Education Manager, at 309-323-6896. To apply, please use this Internship Application Form.
College Student Interns have the opportunity to contribute to a new museum while exploring a self-selected area of education or non-profit management. After a period of immersion in museum education, management and operations, interns will develop their own project, which they will research and report on at the end of the internship. Please use this form to apply for an internship.
Parent Ambassadors support the PlayHouse by sharing information about the museum and its programs with their communities. Our goal is to create a network of 40 parents representing schools, day cares, and neighborhoods from around the region!
Support the PlayHouse by telling friends about our museum and programming, and by liking us on facebook.
