Rosh Hashanah is the celebration of the new year in the Jewish calendar. It is marked with the sounding of the shofar (a ram horn trumpet), greetings of "L'shanah tovah!" ("For a good year!"), eating certain foods, and pray. While the holiday is celebratory, it is also the beginning of a time when Jewish people consider how to right their wrongs  and how to do better in the coming year.
