Celebrate Peoria: Christmas Around the World

Christmas is celebrated by Christians of various ethnic backgrounds here in Central Illinois. Enjoy family friendly activities and learn about how the holiday is celebrated across cultures, from Mexican Posadas to German Christmas trees.

  • Get your “passport” stamped as you go around the world in a day to learn about Christmas traditions
  • Make your own wrapping paper or ornaments inspired by cultures all over the globe
  • Have your family photo taken in front of our winter backdrop
  • Taste some traditional Christmas snacks from different cultures
  • Make a holiday card for a child at Children’s Hospital of Illinois here in PeoriaActivities are included with regular museum admission or membership.

Activities are planned in collaboration with Bradley University Association of Latin American Students, German American Society of Central Illinois, St. Andrew's Society, and more partners to be confirmed.
